After touring the Philippines Rice Terraces, in north Luzon, we head south to Bicol, seeing Legaspi's impressive Mayon Volcano, & the Whale Sharks of Donsol.
Next we visit the Central Visayas - Bohol, Cebu, and the lively island of Boracay, before exploring the westerly island of Palawan, including stunning El Nido.

At a slightly slower pace than the "Best of the Philippine Islands" itinerary, this Philippines tour omits the northerly Rice Terraces, and allows more time to travel amongst some of the most popular areas of the country.
Main regions visited include Bicol, in South Luzon, Palawan, including El Nido, and Bohol, Cebu, and Boracay, in the Central Visayas.

After a Manila city tour, travel north to the spectacular mountain scenery of the Philippines Rice Terraces. Heading on to Palawan, explore the famous St. Paul's Underground River.
Travelling north to El Nido, enjoy the spectacular limestone scenery as you island-hop around this archipelago.
Moving on to Cebu, in the Central Visayas, tour the city, as well as Olango Island, with its nature reserve.
On the island of Bohol, see the Chocolate Hills on a Countryside Tour, and also go in search of whales and dolphins off the coast of Panglao Island.

Manila - Rice Terraces - Baguio - Vigan - Laoag - Pagudpud - Tagaytay - Taal - Donsol - Legaspi - Naga - Caramoan - Manila
Explore the fabulous northern countryside of Luzon, north of Manila, including the Philippines Rice Terraces, Ilocos, Paoay, and Baguio, by private vehicle.
Then head to the south of the island, including Bicol, with its volcanoes and beaches, Naga, and Caramoan.

Manila - Bohol - Cebu - El Nido - Sabang - Puerto Princesa - Manila
First travelling to Bohol, we stay in a Luxury Resort on Panglao Island. We then move to the island of Cebu, where our Luxury Resort is on Mactan Island.

From El Nido we head to Sabang, right alongside its extensive and beautiful Beaches, and close to St Paul's Underground River.

Manila - Legaspi - Donsol - Bohol - Dumaguete - Apo Island - Manila
In Bicol, you'll see the perfectly symetrical Mt Mayon Volcano, and enjoy interaction with whale sharks and fireflies in Donsol.
Explore Bohol with a Countryside Tour, and also island-hop looking for whales and dolphins. Visit Apo Island and swim with turtles.
At Dumaguete, sail out to the Manjuyod sandbar.
In Bohol we take a Countryside Tour and also enjoy island-hopping, searching for whales and dolphins along the way, staying on Panglao Island. In Cebu, we explore the south countryside, as well as interacting with gentle whale sharks. After a trek of Osmena Peak, we head on to the Rice Terraces, with its fantastic scenery, north of Manila.
We first fly to Bohol, staying at a resort on Panglao Island. We explore the countryside of Bohol, and also go island-hopping, in a search for whales and dolphins.
We tour Cebu city, and also the island of Olango, with its nature sanctuary.

Manila - Laoag - Vigan - Pagudpud - Puerto Princesa - El Nido - Manila
We start with a tour of Ilocos, including Laoag, Batac and Paoay. We then visit Pagudpud to enjoy the beaches. Travelling to Vigan, we take a City Tour to see the full scope of this fantastic heritage city.
Returning to Manila, we stay overnight before flying to Palawan, where we tour Puerto Princesa, experience the Underground River, and then head north to enjoy the stunning and unrivaled scenery of El Nido.
Explore Cebu and Olango Island; see the countryside of Bohol, relax on Panglao Island, and go island-hopping in a search for whales and dolphins.

Having been introduced to Manila, the Philippines' capital, we explore the south of the island in Bicol, including the Mt Mayon Volcano and Donsol Whale Sharks.
Then we head north to the Rice Terraces and Sagada, before travelling via Baguio to Ilocos, and the historic towns of Vigan and Laoag, visiting Paoay, plus the beaches of Pagudpud.

North of Manila, Sagada - a town nestled among picturesque mountain scenery, is famous for its caves and hanging coffins. The neighbouring Banaue Rice Terraces stand as the most awe-inspiring man-made landscape in the Cordilleras.
Palawan - known as the Philippines "last frontier". From its capital, Puerto Princesa, you can enjoy boat trips, diving and snorkeling. Take a tour of the St Paul's Underground River, for which this part of Palawan is particularly famous.

Manila - Laoag - Pagudpud - Vigan - Baguio - Banaue - Sagada - Manila
Explore the fabulous countryside of North Luzon, including Ilocos, Paoay, and the Rice Terraces travelling by private vehicle.
On this tour you will experience Philippines culture, history, heritage towns, and breathtaking scenery.
We first fly to Naga, exploring this old city, before heading to the coastal village of Donsol, renowned for its whale sharks, (between November and May). We also enjoy an evening firefly watching tour on the Ogod River.
In Legaspi, Bicol, we explore Albay Province, enjoying a Bicol culinary experience. We also trek the slopes of the famous Mt Mayon volcano.
From Manila we fly to Cebu, exploring the city and countryside. Also Olango Island, a major stopping-off point for migrating birds, with its nature reserve.
On Bohol, we relax at a resort on Panglao Island, whilst also enjoying a Countryside Tour, and also an island-hopping boat trip with whale and dolphin-spotting.

Puerto Princesa, the capital of Palawan, lies on Honda Bay, good for diving and water sports, and close to St Paul's Underground River.
El Nido is one of the top tourist destinations in Palawan, often referred to as the Philippines' "Last Frontier". Here you'll find a stunning landscape of limestone cliffs, blue lagoons, and amazing wildlife.

We travel during daylight hours, in a private air-conditioned vehicle, to the Rice Terraces, to see for ourselves the amazing scenery that has been created by man over many hundreds of years.
Then it's on to Baguio, known as the "City of Pines" due to its cooler temperatures, and subsequent proliferation of evergreen conifers.
Wo continue north to one of the Philippines most charming and historic cities, Vigan, with its numerous heritage houses, which have made this a UNESCO site. We travel on to Ilocos, visiting Laoag, and also Paoay, with its impressive historic church. After this, we can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Pagudpud, at the very northern tip of Luzon.
At the end of the tour we fly directly back to Manila from Laoag.
From Manila we fly to Bohol to explore the island with a Countryside Tour, and enjoy whale and dolphin-spotting whilst island-hopping, staying on Panglao Island.
We take a Cebu City tour, and then move on to the lively, popular island of Boracay for rest and relaxation, with a boat trip with snorkelling included.

Here there are numerous historic heritage buildings, making this one of the most charming destinations in the country.
Lake Taal - Taal Volcano - Taal Town - Batangas - Puerto Galera
This tour includes trekking Taal Volcano, Taal Lake, exploring Tagaytay, and visiting Taal Town - a historic collection of charming heritage buildings, including the famous Basilica.
Next we cross the Verde Island Passage by ferry from Batangas to Mindoro Island to enjoy the beaches of Puerto Galera, a popular tourist resort with numerous hotels, resorts, cafés and bars.
Puerto Galera bay is one of the world's most beautiful natural harbours, and is a superb area for diving and sailing. (Lessons for both are available by request.)

The famous Mt Mayon volcano is a majestic backdrop for this part of the tour itinerary as it dominates the skyline with its almost perfectly symmetrical cone-shape.
In Donsol, between November and May, there's an opportunity to sail out to sea to witness Whale Sharks.

Your point of arrival will normally be Busuanga. Coron is the main town in this region of the Philippines. A visit to this archipelago of islands isn't complete without a trip to Calauit Island, which is unique in the country for its "African" wildlife, folowing their introduction many years ago!
This itinerary is flexible. We travel during daylight hours to Mt Pinatubo, and then on to the Rice Terraces, in a private air-conditioned vehicle.
